In order to get married in Fiji, you will require the following documentation:

1.	Valid Passports (with valid visitors permit)
2.	Decree Absolute documents (divorce papers) if relevant
3.	Death certificate of deceased former spouse (if relevant)
4.	Officially witnessed consent of your father if you are under 21 (or mother if father is deceased)
5.	Valid marriage ages in Fiji are: 16 years and above for female and 18 years and above for male.
6.	Names and presence of two witnesses who are 21 years of age, or over.
7.	Applicants from Asian Nationals who are named herein: Chinese/ Philippines/ Pakistan/ Korea/ India) are to apply one (1) month in advance for their marriage license
8.	Application forms can be obtained from Head Office of the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages in Suva, the Divisional Registrar Offices either in Lautoka or Labasa or any of the District Offices in Fiji.
9.	Registration offices are open between 8.30am and 3.30pm Monday through Friday.
10.	The license is valid for 28 days from the date of issue (within which time the marriage may be performed as stated in the license) and the marriage officer should satisfy himself/herself that the license is still in force.

Registrar General's Office (Suva): 8.30am to 3.30pm Mon to Fri
Divisional Registrar Lautoka- 8.30am to 3.00pm Mon to Fri
Divisional Registrar Labasa- 9.00am to 3.00pm Mon to Fri
Closed on weekends and Public Holidays.

Marriage Fees:
Current marriage fees in Fiji dollars, payment should be made in cash. Some wedding packages include this in the package cost.
• Application for Special license: F$20.25
• A TAPA design marriage certificate is also available for F$15.50
** There may also be a transfer fee for travel from your Resort to the Registrar’s Office.

We recommend allowing at least 3 working days in Fiji to finalise your preparations and obtain the marriage license. Remember to check on Public Holidays when planning your travel arrangements and allow an extra day if necessary.
